When you’re many miles from home, having somewhere pleasant to live is absolutely vital. You want comfort, care and space of your own, but not isolation. We understand this. We understand that each person has their own individual needs.

All College accommodation is regularly inspected and assessed by the International Office’s Accommodation Officers. You can choose the type of accommodation you want. Accommodation with one common factor - high standards.

Students must be 18 to live in College Houses – under 18s live in homestay.

We have just finished our complete refurbishment of College House, next door to the College. You will have the benefit of:

• extended kitchen fully equipped with cooker, microwave, toaster, kettle, fridges etc.
• new dining room with informal dining table and flat screen TV
• all rooms redecorated with new curtains, carpets and furniture
• 5 rooms are ensuite with shower room and toilet
• 4 rooms with shared bathroom and shower room
• internet connection for academic work and keeping in touch with relatives & friends back home

As you can see from the photos, all rooms are very airy and spacious.

The House is one minute's walk to the campus and 5 to the town centre.

Prices range from £260 per month for a room with shared facilities to £340 for an ensuite room (we also have a small room for £200 per month).

The other of the two excellent, self-catering student houses Dudley College has for international students, right next door to the college.

Homestay is the preference of many international students. It means living with a local UK family, and being treated as a member of the family. This presents the opportunity to practise the language and absorb the customs and culture, and is perhaps the quickest way to integrate. Many Homestay students form lasting friendships with their host families. Accommodation is in single rooms and includes bed, breakfast and evening meal Monday to Friday and all meals at weekends and during holiday periods.

Of course, great care is taken in choosing the right family for you, taking account of individual preferences and issues such as diet, religious observance and family concerns. Female only Homestay is available.

Private Self-Catering

Some learners may prefer to live with friends sharing cooking and bathroom facilities. Buying your own food, cooking your own meals and looking after yourself. This is a good way to develop self-confidence!
