Students using agents

A good agent will have full knowledge of the UK education system, the entry requirements for courses and their equivalents in your country’s qualifications.

A good agent will:

  • give you impartial advice on the course most suitable for you, taking into consideration your existing qualifications and your career choice. The agent may contact the College for help with this advice to ensure you make the best possible decision
  • help you complete the application form and select the correct documents
  • send your application to the College
  • check your financial statements to ensure you have enough money for tuition fee and living costs
  • give you advice on how to apply for a visa

Before you choose your agent:

  • ask what services they provide and what fees they will charge (some agents may not charge you a fee, others will ask you to pay for their advice)
  • ask to see these services in writing - make sure you read and understand any contract you sign with the agent: ask the agent to explain fully what you are paying for and what you can expect from them
  • find out what the deposit payment arrangements are: whether you or the agent send the deposit to the College.

You can use the services of an agent when you apply to Dudley College, but you do not have to use an agent, you can apply independently.

Dudley College does not charge a fee for applying to the College.

When paying any money to an agent, make sure you get a receipt which states how much you have paid and what the money is for. Any contract you sign is between you and the agent, not you and the College.
