More than 100 Dudley College photography and Art & Media students treated to an extraordinary and rare treat this week when world-renowned art/documentary photographer, Martin Parr, talked about his experiences and work as Britain's most influential documentary photographer of the last 30 years. Martin made his break in the 80s with his controversial and iconic photo project 'The Last Resort'.

Students on Dudley College's Computer Games Design course were recently invited in by Birmingham City University graduates to help test a series of iPad games now proving popular downloads on Apple iTunes. The students' feedback, which helped to finalise the games before they went live, was recognised by acknowledging the students' names in the games credits.

A plea from local engineering companies to reintroduce training in one of the oldest metalwork techniques in the world has prompted Dudley College, to launch a new apprenticeship in casting, which sees the first apprentices in more than 20 years begin their training in this complex, but essential engineering skill.
