Dudley College is gearing up for the busiest week in its calendar as its main enrolment sessions commence for full and part time courses. With staff on hand from every area of the College, there are plenty of opportunities to find out about a course before enrolling.
Staff will be available to discuss the cost of going to college. Anyone aged 16 – 18 won't have to pay any course or exam fees. For adults, there is financial support available to reduce costs or possibly provide training free of charge. Whatever a learner's financial situation, there are lots of options to ensure that money isn't a barrier to learning.
With over 92% of 16 – 18 year olds, and 88% of adults at Dudley College going onto further training, finding employment or starting university, the College is proving to be the first choice for many school leavers and adults across the Borough.
Bob Chapman, Director of Learning explained "We really have got a course or qualification for everyone, so don't worry about your A Level or GCSE results as we can help you find something you'll enjoy studying and will help you progress into a successful career.
If your circumstances have changed because of redundancy or unemployment, we have free training opportunities to help you get back into work. I would urge everyone to visit our enrolment sessions just to see what's on offer and how we can help".
Full time courses at the College are offered in a wide range of areas, from A Levels in over 30 subjects, through to vocational courses in childcare, performing arts, retail, engineering and sport and many others. But if you want to earn while you learn, more and more students are opting for the Apprenticeship route.
