Aged 19 or over and thinking about further education?
The way further education is funded for adults has changed.
Advanced Learner Loans have been introduced by the UK government for learners aged 19 and over studying at Level 3 or Level 4.
If you start one of these courses you may qualify for a Advanced Learner Loan. These loans help you to pay the fees charged by colleges and training organisations. Alternatively, you could pay for the course out of your own funds, but most learners will qualify for a government loan.
It’s easy to apply, your household income isn’t taken into account and there’s no credit check. You won’t have to pay anything back until your income is over £21,000 a year.
If you’re considering studying, you might be surprised by how affordable it can be.
Some students aged 19-23 may be eligible for other fee concessions. Please ask at enrolment for details.
If you complete an access programme and then go on to complete a degree at university your loan will be written off.
