Housing a fully equipped training centre, Dudley Advance provides flexible solutions for engineering and manufacturing employers to train new employees and enhance the skills of their existing workforce.
A range of full-time and part-time courses and Apprenticeship training is now taking place in the new facility, all directly linked to the traditional processes and emerging technologies needed across the engineering and manufacturing sector.
Training packages are available to suit all abilities, from entry level for those newly recruited into the industry, right through to degree level. Through our partnership with Aston University we are able to support potential graduates who are progressing into management or technical roles by providing pathways into University level qualifications.

On Level 1 is the reception area and exhibition space that offers employers the opportunity to promote their products to our students and visitors.
Level 1 is also home to our impressive Production Centre offering training in traditional processes, with equipment such as lathes, milling machines and grinding machines for core engineering skills. High specification Computer Numerical Control (CNC) milling machines also perform a range of tasks fabricating parts at a fraction of the time it takes to produce by hand.
Level 2 is dedicated to Computer Aided Design and Manufacture. Rooms on this floor contain high end PC suites with touch screen technology CNC simulation. Training is provided in programming languages Siemens, Heidenhain and Fanuc and all the software is linked to the CNC Workshop. The CAD facilities used to train students are 2D Autocad, Autodesk Inventor for 3D modelling and Feature CAM to convert 3D models for post processing to the CNC machines.
Level 2 is home to the Innovation and Enterprise Zone.
This facility provides local businesses with a range of modern facilities and equipment to develop products and commercial ventures. All available at NO COST.

- Rapid prototyping LAB offering the use of 3D scanner, 3D printers and laser cutter
- Measurement and testing LAB housing a FARO arm and a variety of testing equipment
- Access to Computer Aided Design (CAD) software and CNC programming and simulation
Level 3 has an impressive range of technical suites for teaching: Electrical/Electronic and Mechanical subjects.
The mechanical suites offer students a flexible work environment using computer stations running Festo’s Fluidsim software before moving on to practical work with actual components using the Mechatronic hydraulic and pneumatic training system.
A large collaborative area greets you at the entrance to Level 4, this flexible work space offers state of the art work stations for group working but can also be used to hold large group conference, presentations and exhibitions.
Level 4 also houses a Maintenance Lab which offers a full maintenance course with mechatronic equipment that allows students the experience of using and maintaining electro mechanical systems.
