In June and July this year two groups of Italian students and two teachers from near Venice visited Dudley College. They did a combination of English Language classes and vocational work experience, which the students all really enjoyed. The work experience placements included working in a local restaurant as waiters and waitresses, baking scones and Victoria sponges.
The students all did very well, especially as they had to understand and follow all the instructions in English! As well as meeting our full-time International students, and a French group of students who were here at the same time, the Italian students took part in visits to The Black Country Living Museum and Dudley Museum and Art Gallery. They enjoyed these trips and were surprised how good the weather was here! All the students really enjoyed our end-of-year party. It was fantastic to see so many students from so many different countries getting on so well and all speaking English to each other! We look forward to welcoming more groups like this in the future.
