New Partnership Welcomes International Students
A new partnership between Dudley College and King Edward VI College in Stourbridge is set to increase the number of high achieving international students choosing to study in the Black Country.
The two organisations will provide a very attractive package for A* overseas students, particularly from China, India and Russia.
"King Edward's historic campus will be a real draw for the students", explained Sharon Phillips, Principal at King Edwards. "We appear above Eton and other major public schools in the league tables, so our great exam results and the number of our students entering the top universities in the country is a winning combination attracting international students to Stourbridge. The partnership with Dudley College will enable us to concentrate on delivering quality teaching and learning, as they will be dealing with all the essential operational and practical issues linked to individuals studying in the UK."
Lowell Williams, Principal at Dudley College said "Our work with countries across the world is on the increase and a valuable source of income for the college. We have a department within the college dedicated to international recruitment, so we can utilise expertise to help with recruitment, visa applications, organising student home stays and other complicated issues linked to international work."
"Our partnership with this successful provider of A levels will focus on the recruitment of high achievers who want to progress to one of our top universities. We're looking forward to welcoming our first cohort of students to the June summer school we're organising, before they start their A level studies at King Edwards."
Students from across Europe and further afield consider UK teaching and qualifications some of the best in the world. These students, who have to pay to study here, are also looking for a very 'British' experience, and love to take advantage of our culture, countryside and great shopping facilities.
