Dudley College will be opening their doors to prospective students on Saturday 4 February from 10am - 2pm at the Broadway site in Dudley. The Open Day is an excellent opportunity to visit the college to have a look at the great facilities on offer and discover more about our wide range of courses, especially if you are leaving school next summer.
The college offers a wide range of A levels and work related courses at different levels, so whatever your grades, we'll have something to suit you. You can also find out about Apprenticeships which give you the opportunity to study for a qualification whilst working and earning.
With lots of demo's and opportunities to try out a trade, visitors will be able to have a go at being an air steward on our very own aeroplane, try out our Apple Mac's design packages, do some 3D modelling and laser cutting with our engineering department or test your fitness levels with a workout in the college gym. Staff from our hair and beauty department will help you try out your styling skills, and the college construction team have laid on demonstrations so you can try your hand at plumbing and many of the other trades they offer courses in.
Visitors will be able to drop into short presentation, that runs throughout the event, to get first hand information on Dudley Evolve, the college's new vocational training centre on Tower Street and Dudley Sixth, the new A level centre on Ednam Road, both opening in 2012.
Bob Chapman, Director of Learning at the college said "Our Open Days are always popular as they are a great way of finding out first hand what's on offer at the college. I'd encourage anyone who's considering their options to call in on Saturday and find out what vocational training and A levels we offer. The Open Day is very informal and parents, family and friends are more than welcome to come along."
