Dudley College kits out District Schools Football Teams
After winning College of the Year and National Growing the Game Football Awards at the national British Colleges Sports Awards, Dudley College is continuing to assist sport in the community by sponsoring the Brierley Hill & Dudley District Schools football kit for this season. The kit, that bears the distinctive Dudley College logo, will be worn by the District Schools 12s through to the under 15s squads when they are selected to play against other districts in the West Midlands Region.
The District Schools squads are made up of players from schools teams who are selected to bring together the most talented players from across the Dudley and Brierley Hill area.
Supplying the kit isn't the only involvement the college has with the District Schools league, as Simon King, a sports lecturer at the college explained "Supplying the kit is one way of showing our support, but we are also involved in running the Under 15 team this season as they were left without a manager. We felt these young players deserved a chance to represent the region and we have been really impressed with the attitude of the players."
We're pleased to be involved with football at this level, as the college has a real commitment to healthy living and the benefits of sport, and we hope that our involvement with these potential young sporting stars will continue if they opt to continue their studies at the college."
Martin Duffield, Chairman of Brierley Hill & Dudley Schools' F.A. said "We have been working with Dudley College on a range of activities, as it’s proving to be an excellent way of offering students from the college and members of the district squads the opportunity to meet and gain experience from a football and team building point of view. Sponsorship of the kit will ensure our schools squads are turned out well this season!"
