Programme Leader for Business at Dudley College Matt Laws and tutor Mike Bickley were invited to Birmingham City University to take part in a seminar entitled: ‘You’re Higher-ed! – Inspiration for young business minds: From classroom to boardroom.

The seminar was delivered by guest speaker Tim Campbell, Tim is now the founder of the Bright Ideas Trust, a charity organisation helping young entrepreneurs from disadvantaged backgrounds to start their own business. He is also an advisor to the Lord Mayor of London on entrepreneurship.

“It was a rare chance for our students to meet someone who learned the lessons of successful business, and who has something relevant and inspirational to share. The seminar encouraged our students to open their own minds to the possibilities and opportunities of a career in business. The students found the event really inspiring and were encouraged to follow their goals in life,” said Matt.
