Dudley College is celebrating the latest addition to its family of quality kite marks, having recently been recognised with the prestigious Training Quality Standard (TQS).
The TQS standard aims to help employers identify those organisations that provide high quality training services and who focus specifically on identifying need, delivering high quality training and measuring the impact on business performance over the longer term. Dudley College works with a wide range of employers, ranging from small, owner-manager businesses to large corporations, both in the public and private sector and across the full range of industry sectors.
Principal Lowell Williams said today: "Responding to the needs of employers is a strategic objective for the college, and we are determined to play our part in the economic regeneration of the Black Country and the wider region. Having received endorsement on the high quality of service that Dudley College provides to employers can only assist us in the achievement of this objective".
Director of Standards, Hilary Jakovlevs added: "TQS is one of the most challenging accolades that we have achieved to date, as the assessment process strenuously tests every aspect of the way we work with employers, from dealing with initial enquiries through to assessing the impact of our work. The benefit to employers who are using training as a means of making their businesses sustainable and profitable in the future is clear."
Dudley College typically provides training to more than 7,000 employees annually in qualifications ranging from basic skills to higher education qualifications such as foundation degrees and teacher training. Subjects range from literacy and numeracy to health and safety, business improvement techniques and highly specialised bespoke courses designed at the request of employers.
