Students lobby their MPs

Dudley College students outside Houses of ParliamentStudents from Dudley College joined the protest held in London on Wednesday to lobby their local MPs.

Student Union President Kim Hughes said; "This is a really important issue which is why so many students attended the protest to voice their opinions.  We hope the MPs will listen to what the students have said and vote in our favour to help keep these students in education."

Ian Austin (Lab Dudley North) had already warned that students would be forced to drop out of college if the EMA was axed.  Ian had met with students at Dudley College at an earlier protest to show his support, he went on to say; "The EMA makes a huge difference to their family's finances."
