Brockswood Animal Sanctury

Student Greg WestDudley College is absolutely delighted to announce that it is working in partnership with Brockswood Animal Sanctuary, Sedgley to deliver Animal Care training to school leavers.

This exciting partnership will bring together the expertise of staff, at both Brockswood Animal Sanctuary and Dudley College to deliver a full-time course in animal care.  Students will have a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in handling and caring for a wide range of domestic, farm and exotic animals on a regular basis.

As well as being responsible for the care and welfare of the animals at the sanctuary, the students will study topics including animal health and welfare, practical animal feeding, animal accommodation and animal biology.

Dudley College Principal, Lowell Williams says: "We are proud to be working with Brockswood Animal Sanctuary to bring this highly specialist training to our local community. Over the coming months we will be developing a brand new fully equipped learning centre on site at Brockswood to further enhance the experience of our students."

"The success of the recent pilot scheme has shown that this project has great potential to provide students with a detailed knowledge of the animal care sector and provide the skills necessary to peruse a career in this field," said Neil Swann co-owner of Brockswood.
