Painting a brighter future

Neville Gordon with his artwork at Neverland StudiosA student from Oldbury is celebrating after being given the opportunity to show off his artwork at a recording studio in Brierley Hill.

Neverland Studios had seen Neville's work in his local area of Oldbury and decided to ask him to create some of his stunning charcoal drawings at their premises.

Neville Gordon age 26 from Oldbury came to Dudley College to study for two years on the NCFE Level 2 Drawing and Painting part-time course. 

Neville said, "As the course was part-time evening it allowed me to carry on working during the day and earn some money.  I have always wanted to further my education but felt I was never good enough.  But after my 2 years at Dudley College my confidence has grown and I now feel ready to move on and am proud of my achievements.  At last I feel I'm getting somewhere with my life."

Rob Bowyers Neville's tutor said, "Neville has applied to study a Foundation Art and Design degree at Bournville College and through his hard work and determination has received an unconditional offer from them.  He's a brilliant artist and is fully focused on his work."

Neville is hoping to hold an exhibition of some of his work in Birmingham in the near future.
