Students put penguins in frame
Photography students from Dudley College's Evolve campus put penguins in the frame when they came on site for an early morning Creature Feature with our 70-strong group of Humboldts.
Senior Keeper, Ben Vanes fed the colony as 12 students and tutor, Phil Brooks, captured the cheeky birds poolside.
Head of Media and Communications at Dudley Zoo, Jill Hitchman, said: "This is the third year of our partnership with Dudley College's photography unit and we always try to arrange a bespoke experience for the students with one of our most popular species.
"It offers a chance for the students to get closer than they are able to during their weekly site visits and provides the perfect photo opportunity for them to boost their portfolios."
Tutor Phil Brookes said: "This close encounter was a great opportunity for our students to make images from within an enclosure, in order to achieve more personal and interesting images of the penguins.
"We really appreciate the kind support of Dudley Zoological Gardens in providing a valuable collaborative experience, by continuing to commission our learners to document endangered species."
