Dudley College tops League Table of Colleges, nationally

Dudley College is today celebrating being named in joint third place, in a new league table of national Further Education Colleges.

The League Table published by FE Week scored all 213 colleges in the country against four measures, including the volume of apprenticeships the college delivers, employer and learner satisfaction scores, and destination data as to whether its students become employed.

All of the data used to create the league table has been in the public domain but this is the first time it has been put together in this way to create a “score card” of an individual organisation’s performance – allowing clear comparisons to be made across the FE sector.

Commenting on Dudley College’s performance Principal Lowell Williams said: “Our high level ranking in the college league table is a great achievement as it demonstrates we’re doing a top job to support the learners and employers we work with. It’s particularly pleasing that other Black Country colleges were in the top five places on the table too, as this shows the further education system across the region is in good shape and responding to the skills challenges we face.”

Dudley College was helped to such a high position in the table by its high employer satisfaction score with 91% of employers rating it very highly in meeting their training needs and with a similarly high learner satisfaction score of 86% of students giving the thumbs up to their learning experience at the college.
