Higher Awards Graduation 2017
Friday 1st December saw yet another cohort of Dudley graduates receive their Higher Education Awards, in the company of their friends and family at our annual graduation event. With learners from 24 different programme areas ranging from HNC Electrical Engineering to HND Travel and Tourism – the evening showcased the breadth of our higher education provision and was testimony to the real difference we make to the lives of our learners.
Many of our own staff were also part of the graduation event as they collected their awards in Leadership and Management, Education, Internal Quality Assurance and Assessment and Business and Administration. Proving that a culture of continuous professional development is real and thoroughly embedded into our annual cycle of activities.
A vote of thanks was given on behalf of all students by Athena Southwell (HND Animal Management) who took the opportunity to praise the dedication of Dudley College staff saying: "On behalf of every graduate I would also like to thank every tutor that has engaged our interest, given us feedback and led us to believe we were capable of securing a higher level qualification, even if we sometimes doubted it ourselves."
The event was brought to a conclusion by David Whatton, QPM, Vice Chair of Governors, who had presented the awards on behalf of the Corporation.
A selection of the evening's photographs are available in an album of the college's Flickr account.
