Course Summary
This course offers learners the opportunity to develop a broad understanding of:
• Fundamentals of financial accounting
• An understanding of elementary financial principles
• Professionalism and ethics, including professional conduct, ethical dilemmas and personal responsibility in the workplace
• Data driven analytics
• Data governance frameworks
• Decision making skills
As part of the programme of study the learner will complete a significant industrial placement.
This course is suitable for anyone who is considering a career in accountancy.
Course Content
On this course you will learn:
• The Business Environment,
• Professionalism and Ethics,
• Fundamentals of law,
• Fundamentals of financial accounting,
• Preparing financial statements,
• Analysing business performance,
• Tax and audit functions,
• Payroll.
You will complete an industry placement of 315 hour (45 days) minimum.
Course Assessment
You will be assessed through an exam-based assessment. The core knowledge and understanding are assessed through an examination and core skills through a practical employer-set project.
Qualifications
T Level Technical Qualification in Accounting.
This is equivalent to three A levels.

Students completing this course usually go on to further study in degree related programmes:

• Business Management
• Business Finance
Or, Higher Technical Qualification (HTQ). Like T Levels, HTQs are developed in consultation with employers. They are qualifications at levels 4 and 5 and prepare you for occupations at these levels.

Entry Requirements
