Course Summary
The T Level in Animal Management and Science is suitable for anyone wanting to pursue a career in the animal care, animal management and veterinary sciences. On this 2 year programme, you will develop an understanding of a broad range of key issues relevant to the sector, including; sustainability, the principles of biosecurity, ethical principles, health and diseases and animal anatomy and physiology which will help you prepare for a wide selection of career choices and higher education.
Course Content
You will study topics:
Sustainability, including environmental legislation, sustainable development, climate change and waste management principles.
The principles of biosecurity
Health and Disease of animals
Anatomy and Physiology of animals
Nutrition and animals
Safe animal handling and welfare
Course Assessment
You will be assessed via a range of methods including external and internal assessment as well as an employer led project as part of your extended industry work placement.

Progression
You can gain direct employment into many animal based professions or attend Higher Education.

Entry Requirements
Five GCSEs at Grade 4 or above to include Maths, English and Science or Level 2 qualification in Animal Care with Biology and Health units at merit level and Maths and English GCSEs at grade 4 or above.
