The course consists of a variety of Barbering units:
•Follow Health and Safety Practice in the Salon
• Working in the Hair Industry
• Client Consultation for Hair Services
• Shampoo and Condition the Hair
• Styling Men's Hair
• Cut Men's Hair
• Cut Facial Hair
• Colour and Lighten Hair
• Promote Products and Services to Clients in a Salon
• Create an Image based on a Theme
• Salon Reception Duties
• Display Stock to Promote Sales in the Salon
Course Assessment
You are assessed by a variety of methods including:
• Practical observations
• Oral questioning
• Written modular tests.
• Production of a portfolio of evidence
You are expected to take part in the college's work experience programme and open days during your course of study.

Entry Requirements
You must demonstrate good presentation skills, show a genuine interest in the barbering industry and display a positive attitude to study. Gain an Initial assessment in Maths and English at L1/ L2 or GCSE grade 4 or above and a willingness to continue your studies in Maths and English to improve your grades.
