Course Summary
The course is intended for those who want to gain basic skills and knowledge in order to gain entry into the plumbing and building services engineering industry.
You'll learn about pipe bending, basic plumbing systems, compliance with water regulations, drainage and health and safety in the work place.

Course Assessment
All assessments in this qualification are externally set (by City & Guilds), Centre marked assignments and practical assessments.
Materials
Protective clothing, footwear and writing materials are required.
Qualifications
C&G Level 1 Diploma in Plumbing Studies 7202.
Progression
Progression will be onto the Level 2 Plumbing qualification or into an apprenticeship.
Progression will depend on set criteria of passing the level 1, Good attendance, Good punctuality and positive attitude to learning.
Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements to study for this qualification, but you must demonstrate a genuine interest in this subject, be prepared to follow high standards of behaviour and display a positive attitude to study.
You must be prepared to be working towards GCSE English and GCSE Maths, or a Functional Skill at Entry 3 level or above.
An initial assessment of your English and maths may be required depending on your qualifications to check you have the skills needed to successfully complete this course.
